Description
habibi jan
ջանحبيبي
Created for our habayeb janeegs both known and unknown.
For a solidarity that moves beyond theory and borders.
For building trust through action.
For tending collective care practices.
For the work of weaving stories with more voices.
Habibi from Arabic and jan from Persian and Armenian, can be translated to “darling, dear, beloved”. A term of endearment throughout much of the SWANA region and its diaspora.
A fig and a pomegranate, symbols of abundance and truth. May our relationships, our communities, and our chosen families be abundant with care and full of truth.
If an option is sold out here, make sure to check my collaborator’s site Entangled Roots Press.
This is a small run and we will be printing more in the near future. Printed by hand, variations occur.
