Queer as in: we are by nature revolutionary. We stand in our authenticity and refuse assimilation. We reject the status quo. We seek truth and justice on this plane. We stand arm in arm with those who resist oppression.
Queer as in: we dig deeper than what’s presented to us. Queer as in: we wake up to the ways we are propagandized in service of imperialism. Queer as in: we’re not meant to assimilate, to keep the gears turning in the machine like a good little cog. We’re meant to shake shit up. Queer as in: we have never fit into this world, it’s true, but that’s because we are here to create a new, more inclusive one that works for everyone.
Queer as in: the arc of justice will prevail. Queer as in: tyranny will be thwarted and the oppressed will have liberation.
Queer as in: Palestine will be free, within this lifetime, InshaAllāh.
