My Work

Book + Zine Covers + Illustration

Book + zine covers are some of my favorite projects and I’ve been lucky enough to have designed several lately this year. Let me know if you have a project – from books to zines and anything in between – that needs to present itself with an impact.

“BE BETTER BROKEN: in Service to Liberation” (Meraj Publishing, Feb, 2026) is a vital essay collection and guide for everyone resisting fascism. It recognizes and honors those on the front lines as traumatized people doing work that further traumatizes us as we yearn for transformation.

This book is a call to claim responsibility for our lives and our roles in building a collectively liberated world.

Honored to create the cover design as well as internal illustrations. I developed a brand-new font for this book I’m calling “Mkassar” (broken).

Tarot + Politics, VOL. 3, cover design.

“Many blessings on all the current and future dissident diviners whose
spirituality is focused on real-world impact. May we be grounded and guided by the most affected, always.” – Lane Smith, editor + creator, Feb, 2026.

This cover was inspired by Leila Khaled and all our martyrs, may they guide us.

IMPOSSIBLE THINGS is a poetry collection/memoir, created by one of my oldest, dearest friends Miller Oberman (Duke University Press, Oct, 2024).

I’ve had the honor of reading Miller’s poetry since the late 90s, so getting to collaborate on the visuals of this full circle of a heartbreaking and hopeful book has been so special.

“Offering an intimate account of intergenerational grief, Miller Oberman’s new collection of poetry, Impossible Things, explores his experiences as both a transgender child and father. Oberman weaves in passages from his own deceased father’s unpublished memoir to engage with the mysterious drowning of his eldest brother Joshua at age two, a tragedy that cast a shadow over his childhood. He depicts his own youth and parenthood in the context of his father’s trauma, employing queer and trans theory and experimental poetic forms to challenge and expand discourse around fatherhood and masculinity. Oberman moves beyond an attempt to solve the mystery of Joshua’s death and interrogates how much we can ever know about our forebears or understand their impacts on our lives. Impossible Things offers a necessary intervention into the well-worn terrain of fatherhood/boyhood memoir and functions as a living elegy, communicating with the past, the dead, and the unknowable while speaking to the possibilities for healing intergenerational trauma.”

This 30-page booklet zine is a collaboration with my habboub F in the UK. Written by F, it is the story of how they met their late great uncle when they “went back into the closet” gay Narnia style.

Illustrated by me, with custom hand-lettered typography  + a riso-printed cover ❤️‍🔥

BLOODY HELL! Adventures in Menopause from Across the Globe, edited by Mona Eltahawy, who I’ve admired basically my whole conscious adult life.

This book is so powerful and so necessary, and I happen to know it includes voices you’ve never heard talk about menopause and what it means to a body, how the only way is through, and how sometimes we just have to wreck it all.

Cover design by me, as well as 25 inside illustrations inspired by each essay.

MASK UP, WE NEED YOU: Palestinian Solidarity, Covid-19, and the Struggle for Liberation is a collaboration between Rimona Eskayo and I, a 40-page illustrated primer for those who consider themselves co-strugglers for Palestinian liberation, yet may not understand the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic as both a genocide in itself, and a tool of genocide that perpetuates all others.

What if we told you there was a tangible way you could refuse to take on the empire’s deadly work, every day?

As we build our liberated future, this zine is a call to action and collective consciousness to notice the connections that the empire desperately does not want us to see!

Custom Stamps

Let me design and carve your own personal stamp!

I love to use erasers for multiple reasons: they are affordable (easily found in cheap packs), ubiquitous (easily found in many places) and modular (whether whole or divided, they line up together beautifully while stamping)!

However, stamps can be made out of so many different media, and I can definitely work larger if you have a more complicated or large-scale design in mind.

Prices will vary depending on size and intricacy, sliding scale from $35.

Producer/Director

BROTHERS is a critically-acclaimed short-form narrative series that follows a group of transgender male friends, exploring what it means to go up against traditional societal gender roles.

BROTHERS was a pioneer effort: the first narrative series about a group of trans male friends to not only feature the stories of transgender men, but also to cast trans actors in the main roles.
